There is also almost zero wear on the case, so that is a pretty clear indicator that this horn just never saw much use. From the looks of the finish on the palm keys and the crisp edges on the pearls, this horn does not appear to have been play very much. Just normal overhaul, pads, and adjustments. This horn doesn't seem like it would take a lot of work to get in top playing condition. You can tell the cork on the neck was replaced not too long ago.

Pads are more recent, and you may only need to replace the worst offenders, but I think its safe to assume the horn needs a complete overhaul plus it will need the neck tightening screw piece soldered back on. This is a 'project horn', but it is complete. This is going to be an amazing sounding horn after a really good overhaul and a with a good polish job it will look incredible too. The horn has a great full bodied tone and just enough edge to cut. It has been re padded with prestini pads with metal domed resonators. This horn has been completely overhauled in our in-house repair shop, all pads, felts, corks have been replaced and the horn has been setup.

This horn still has the original clear lucite keyguard, a rarity being that most of these cracked and were replace with sheet metal guards.
